A few years ago, I was a clinical dental hygienist running on empty.

I was working four days a week and spending the other three days trying to allow my body to recover from the damage done while caring for my patients. I was heartbroken that I couldn't send my kids off to school in the mornings without a dramatic rush, and I was so drained in the evenings that I had no emotional energy left for my own family.

Every time I tried to leave clinical practice, I just kept coming back. I loved dentistry, and I was good at what I did. I desperately wanted to find work where I could use my dental hygiene degree and years of knowledge, while working from home and actually enjoying my life.

I've been a dental hygienist for over 22 years, and today I work remotely as a National Clinical Educator for a botanical oral care company.
